2016 Raleigh Demo Day

Our 3rd Annual Raleigh Demo Day was a success! 

This was our third year hosting the Innovators Program in Raleigh. The 12-week accelerator program is made possible by the collaborative efforts of Red Hat, Citrix, HQ Raleigh, and the City of Raleigh. Five external startups and five intrapreneurial teams have worked tirelessly alongside mentors and coaches, and they showed off their hard work to a packed crowd on December 12, 2016! 

Here's what happened: 

 

2:30PM: PROGRAM OPENING - LIZ TRACY

Liz Tracy is the Director of HQ Raleigh and Lead Facilitator for the Innovators Program: Raleigh.  

2:40pm: OPENING remarks BY nick oconnor

Nick O'Connor is the Founder of Venture Toolkit and Managing Director of the Innovators Program. He's run accelerators across the globe, including in Silicon Valley and Bangalore, India. 

2:50pm: FIRST FIVE TEAM pitches  

First, you'll meet the five external startups in this year's program. Each startup has five minutes to pitch their concept. 

3:30PM: REMARKS FROM JESSE LIPSON, citrix   

Jesse Lipson is the Founder of ShareFile, which was acquired by Citrix in 2011. He is VP + GM of Cloud Services at Citrix, as well as a co-founder of HQ Raleigh and the ThinkHouse. 

3:40PM: FINAL FIVE TEAM PITCHES 

Now it's time to hear from our intrapreneurs. You'll meet the three internal teams from Citrix and two internal teams from Red Hat. Each startup has five minutes to pitch their concept. 

4:10PM: Remarks from Delisa alexander, red hat  

Delisa Alexander is executive VP and chief people officer at Red Hat. She is an active supporter of the entrepreneurial scene through board roles at Innovate Raleigh and CED. 

4:20PM: Closing remarks
